Special Update from Pastor Jerimy & Shannon

Dear Christ Chapel Family,

Shannon and I hope that your summer is going better than you planned. We also hope that you have the opportunity at some point to step out of the traffic to get some time away with those you love the most. We are looking forward to celebrating 25 years of marriage later this summer ourselves.

The month of June has been filled with some beautiful mile markers as a church. We have welcomed over 30 new members plus their children. We began our Live Well University summer classes with over 100 participants. We have sensed a nearness of the presence of Jesus in our Wednesday night prayer meetings and Sunday gatherings. God is truly coming where He is wanted.

At the beginning of this month we also implemented new service times of 9am, 11am and 5pm. The desire was to continue to provide space for greater connection with God and with one another while serving the growing needs of our community including our children. As historically has been the case, our kids ministry has been a driver for our changes in schedules as well a presenting an ongoing need for space.

This week we started a remodel and a classroom expansion in our kids area. This project will be complete by Sunday and over the next few weeks we will be opening additional classrooms and rearranging some age groups to better serve our NOW generation. This classroom expansion will allow us to serve up to 50% more children per service. Our Student Pastors are excited but maybe not as much as their Lead Pastor. :)

With this new development in our kids area as well as our ability to place additional chairs in our sanctuary I believe that it is best for staff, leaders and the congregation to gather on Sundays at 9am and 11am services ONLY. I understand that our church is continuing to grow and will continue to by God’s grace. I understand that we will navigate some “snugness” over the next few months. I also understand that more than likely before we expand or build we will at some point need to add a third service back to our schedule. Nevertheless, for our current PACE and PEACE, myself and the Trustees believe that this is both wisdom and God honoring.

This schedule of 9AM and 11AM services ONLY will begin this Sunday, June 22, 2025. Shannon and I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
